PROFILE

Computer Literacy Programme (CLP) was introduced during the year 1999 – 2000. This is a Government recognized Certificate Programme initially implemented on contract with Elcot and NIIT. NIIT installed the computers with accessories and conducted the course for five years. Later it was undertaken by the Government of Tamil Nadu for which the syllabus was framed by the Directorate of Collegiate Education, and the lecturers were appointed on contract basis.

The CLP was meant to impart instill basic computer skills to the entire student community pursuing UG courses in Government Colleges. It was initiated by the Government of Tamil Nadu in all Government Colleges to enrich all under graduate non – computer Science students. Computer Education is available for all UG students in the College, in view of its importance in every walk of life.
