HISTORY OF COMMERCE DEPARTMENT
Department of Botany was established in the year 1978-79 as allied subject for the Zoology undergraduate course. The Department has created and maintains a Herbal Garden in the College campus. Basically the chalk and board method of teaching is followed, in addition teaching aids such as Power point, Bio visual charts, Flash cards, Non working models, Herbariums are also used. The Department has well equipped laboratory with all facilities to conduct practicals for basic botany. Every year special lectures were organized by Green club on the latest topics to improve the scientific knowledge. The club also ensures planting of more trees in college campus for creating green environment every year. The Department has two experienced faculty members with good research accomplishment.
