HISTORY OF PHYSICS DEPARTMENT
Department of Physics came into existence in the year 1967. Initially the department was running with the Pre-University course students. In the year 1977-1978 allied physics was introduced for B.Sc. Mathematics students. In the Silver Jubilee year 1993-1994, B.Sc. Physics was introduced. The Post Graduate course in Physics was introduced in the academic year 2015-16 and Ph.D programme was introduced both in part-time and full-time mode from the academic year 2018-19. The department consists of 7 regular staff, 2 Guest Lecturers, 2 PTA staff and 1 Lab Assistant under OSA.
